Johnny Depp “hits back” at Amber Heard?
Johnny Depp and singer Jeff Beck, who is active in music as well as acting, have collaborated on an album titled “18” (scheduled for release on July 15), and it has been revealed that the album contains lyrics that criticize Johnny’s ex-wife, Amber Heard, who is also an actor.
As many of you know, Johnny won a lawsuit against Amber for defamation last month. The jury found that an op-ed Amber contributed to the Washington Post in 2018 was defamatory and ordered Amber to pay Johnny a total of $15 million in damages. Amber also won $2 million in damages in her counterclaim against Johnny.
After the verdict, Amber gave an interview to the NBC news program “Dateline” and spoke candidly about the trial and Johnny, while Johnny has distanced himself from the trial story since posting a message on TikTok thanking his fans for their support.
According to a reporter for The Sunday Times, who heard the song “Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade” from Johnny and Jeff’s new album earlier this year, the song includes the lyrics “You’re sitting there like a dog in malaise,” “Even if it’s a Even a ten-cent coin won’t reach you,” and “You’ve said enough for one night,” and it is speculated that these lyrics are directed at Amber.
Incidentally, Amber’s lawyers are asking the court to set aside the verdict and remand the case for a new trial, claiming that there was a fake juror, or “impersonator,” among the jurors in the defamation trial that she lost.
