Chris Pratt mentions rumors of a replacement for the role of Indiana Jones.

Actor Chris Pratt, who is preparing for the release of “Jurassic World: The New Reign,” the final chapter in the “Indiana Jones” film series, has been named as one of the candidates to succeed Harrison Ford, who has played the main character Indiana Jones so far in the series. He commented on the podcast “Happy Sad Confused” about this.

When asked which actor he would like to see play Indiana Jones during an appearance on the U.S. information program “Today” in 2019, Harrison said, “Nobody can be Indiana Jones. I am Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone, too,” he replied.

When asked about rumors that he would take over the role of Indiana Jones, Chris said, “I don’t even know who Steven Spielberg is. I don’t even know who Steven Spielberg is. Steven? He then continued, “The answer is no.

The answer is no. I think they’re doing a new ‘Indiana Jones’ movie with Harrison Ford, right? I heard that Harrison Ford said something like, ‘If I die, Indiana Jones dies,’ but I am not sure if he (Harrison) really said that. But it was enough to scare me. I thought, “If I were to play Indiana Jones, I wonder if Harrison Ford’s ghost would haunt me when he passes away…. (Rumors about the casting) are completely untrue.”

Incidentally, as many of you know, a fifth film in the “Indiana Jones” series starring Harrison is in production and is scheduled for release in 2023.
