New scenes and an international trailer have been released for ” City of Lies,” which opens in theaters on Friday, August 5. The film is based on the real-life unsolved assassination of “2PAC” and “Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie),” two of the most charismatic figures of the American hip-hop scene in the 1990s. The film is a crime suspense with Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker starring in a spectacular performance.

The film stars Johnny Depp as Russell Poole, a real-life detective who spent his life chasing corruption in the LAPD.
