Glad to know that was proven to be a lie.

Recently, it was shocking news that Ricky Martin’s nephew, Dennis Yadieri Sanchez, 21, had been dating Ricky for 7 months and that Dennis had been physically and emotionally abused by Ricky during their relationship. After the breakup, Dennis obtained a temporary restraining order against Ricky, claiming that Ricky had been stalking him. He also sued Ricky for incest.

In response, Ricky’s attorney previously told Deadline, “Unfortunately, the person making this claim has serious mental health issues,” and added, “Of course, Ricky Martin has never had a sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew, and Nor will there ever be. This allegation is not only untrue, it is horrifying.

This time, according to TMZ, the judge denied Dennis’ temporary restraining order issued earlier this month. The reason given was that Dennis recanted his claim.

In response, Ricky’s lawyers said, “The temporary restraining order was not extended by the court, as we had anticipated. The accuser (Dennis) admitted that the decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure,” and revealed to TMZ that Dennis withdrew the lawsuit at his own discretion. Incidentally, after Dennis filed the lawsuit against Ricky, there were reports that he received a threatening phone call and reported it.

Ricky himself told E! News, “I’m in front of the camera today because I need to speak so I can begin the healing process. I finally could speak for myself because the law says that I am not allowed to speak until I am in front of a judge, and I followed that rule,” he said.

He continued, “Oh, I’m glad these [Dennis’] claims were proven false. But I’m going to be honest. It was really painful. It was really destructive for me, for my family, for my friends. I don’t want anyone to have to go through something like this,” he said, confessing his feelings about the past few weeks.

Ricky also did not name Dennis, but said, “To the person who made this incoherent (sic) claim. I wish him the best and hope he finds help and lives a life full of love, truth, and joy. May he never hurt anyone.”

Ricky’s husband, artist Juwan Yosef, also congratulated her on this. He posted two shots of him and Ricky on Instagram and commented, “Truth will prevail.
