Taylor Swift was turned down for a cameo in the “Twilight” movie series.
This was revealed by Chris Weitz, who directed the movie “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” in 2009.
Chris Weitz recently appeared on Ashley Greene’s podcast show “The Twilight Effect,” and in reflecting on the film, he discussed singer Taylor Swift’s request to appear in the film and why he turned it down.
Chris said on the show, “Taylor Swift is a huge ‘Twilight’ fan. And she and I were with the same agent at the time. And she and I were with the same agent at the time, and I said, ‘Hey, Taylor wants to be in this film. She told me that she wanted to be in the film, not because she was the director, but because she was a big fan of the film.
In the end, however, Taylor’s cameo appearance did not materialize.
According to Chris, he made the decision to turn it down because he thought that Taylor’s appearance would have detracted from the atmosphere of the film.
He said, “It’s such a tough decision. “It’s such a tough decision,” he said. Chris revealed that it was a tough decision to make. “I blamed myself, too. I blamed myself, too, because, come to think of it, I could have worked with Taylor Swift! I’m sure she’s thinking, ‘What an idiot. But sometimes you have to make decisions because you think this is for the good of the film,” he added.
