Actress Amber Heard, who has just finished a muddled court case with her ex-husband Johnny Depp, has sold her mansion in Southern California, the New York Post reports.

Heard sold the mansion in the desert of Yucca Valley. The house is 2457 feet in size, with an open kitchen and living room, as well as three bedrooms and a bathroom. In addition, every room is designed with the full use of wood, making the structure unique and exotic.

The property was sold on July 18 for $1.05 million (about 130 million yen). The buyers were Ricardo and Carol Jorgensen, who own a risk management consulting and insurance company.

Incidentally, when the Heard purchased the property in 2019, the price was about $570,000 (about $74 million), and the sale brought in a profit of about $480,000 (about $62 million).

However, Amber lost a defamation lawsuit that arose over an article published in the British newspaper The Sun in December 2018, and she was ordered to pay a huge $10.35 million (about ¥1.4 billion).

Some media outlets have reported that she may have sold the property to pay for the compensation, but the $2 million in damages to be paid by Johnny to Amber, combined with the profits from this sale, is far less than the amount that could be covered.

How will they pay the full amount of damages? All eyes are on them.
