Actor Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) held on August 28 (US time). The way he made the appearance has become a topic of conversation.
Appearing at the show as Moonman
Recently, TMZ reported that Johnny Depp spoke with the producers of the awards and that a production in which he appeared dressed as MTV’s iconic character “Moonman (Moon Person)” was being considered.

The rumors were true. Johnny did appear at the show as Moon Man, as reported. However, he did not actually go to the ceremony, but appeared above the heads of the people in the audience, and there was a video screen attached to the Moonman’s suit, on which Johnny’s image was projected.
After his virtual appearance, Johnny said, “I want everyone to know that I can handle birthdays, bar mitzvahs (Jewish boys’ coming-of-age celebrations), bat mitzvahs (Jewish girls’ coming-of-age celebrations), weddings, funerals, you name it. So, you know, I needed this job,” he joked.
Johnny made international headlines this June when he won a lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, for defamation of character. Since then, he has been showing signs of revival, appearing in movies and announcing a tour.
Even if only virtually, Johnny has made an appearance at a world-famous music festival. The day of his full recovery seems to be near.
