Ariana Grande’s music career is relatively quiet, but that’s because she’s gearing up for the role of a lifetime.


On August 30, 2022 local time, Ariana posted several photos on her social networking site, one of which is related to the role she will play in the film version of Wicked. The last of the series of photos posted captures her gazing fondly at statues of characters from “The Wizard of Oz,” including the Lion, the Tin Man, Elphaba, and Glinda, who Ariana will be playing in the [Tony Award-winning] musical “Wicked. These characters are based on those in Lyman Frank Baum’s classic “The Wizard of Oz” and its 1939 film.



She is gearing up for the role of a lifetime.

Last November, it was officially announced that in addition to Ariana, Cynthia Erivo, as Elphaba, will appear in the new film “Wicked,” to be directed by John M. Chu. Chu, who previously directed “In the Heights” and “Crazy Rich! in April of this year, Chu revealed that the film version of “Wicked” will be released in two parts, “one for Christmas in December 2024 and the other for Christmas the following year.


Idina Menzel, the [Tony Award-winning] actress who played Elphaba in the musical, said of the project, “I know it’s in great hands, and I send a lot of love to Cynthia and Ariana. If the girls need us, we will support them”.


Ariana has had five #1 albums on the Billboard 200, including 2013’s “Yours Truly,” 2018’s “Sweetener,” and 2020’s “Position. He has also been named to the U.S. Billboard Songbook. He has also sent over 100 songs to the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and six of his songs have reached No. 1, including “Stuck With You” with Justin Bieber, “Rain On Me” with Lady Gaga, and “Seven Rings. Rings,” and “Seven Rings.
