With the iPhone 14 series expected to be unveiled at the Far Out event on September 8, new rumor mill is reporting new color variations, MagSafe improvements, and more.
The source of this information is a post by user yeux1122 on the Korean blog Naver. The account has several past achievements and has also been actively sending out information about the iPhone 14, including that “the price of the standard model will remain unchanged.
■Purple is available in color variations.
According to a new post from a “U.S. developer source,” the iPhone 14 will be available in the following colors.
iPhone 14 standard model: Green, Purple, Blue, Black, White, Red
iPhone 14 Pro: Green, Purple, Silver, Gold, Graphite
This information is consistent with what leaker Mcguire Wood said in early August: the standard iPhone 13 model comes in pink and the iPhone 13 Pro model comes in Sierra Blue, both of which will be replaced by purple.
■No improvement in case material or display protection
The case material does not appear to offer any significant improvement in durability. yeux1122’s sources say that a titanium prototype existed, but it was rejected due to cost and manufacturing process issues. This is also what Mr. Wood, mentioned above, claimed early on.
The iPhone 14 display will use the same Gorilla Glass coating as the iPhone 13. The screen is also unlikely to be improved in terms of durability and scratch resistance.

■ “A16 Bionic” performance improvement
