Glen Powell, who plays Hangman in the movie “Top Gun Maverick,” revealed his “backstory” with Miles Teller, who plays Rooster.
Glen Powell’s ” Top Gun Maverick ” backstory gets fans excited.
Miles Teller, who played Rooster, the son of the late Goose, in “Top Gun Maverick,” the first sequel to the movie “Top Gun” in 36 years, and Glen Powell, who played the arrogant but lovable hangman, reunited. The two-shot photo that Miles shared on Twitter drew a huge response. Glen also responded on his Twitter page.
‘Remember when we used to bunk together on the aircraft carrier? I was the top bunk and you were the bottom bunk. Every night you would say, ‘Good night, Hangie,’ and I would say, ‘Good night, Lou. I miss those days.”
Remember when we bunked together on the carrier? Me on the top bunk, you on the bottom. Every night you’d say, “Goodnight, Hangy.”
And I’d say, “Night, Roo.”I miss that. https://t.co/ilwhz38rGu

In the film, Rooster and Hangman are rivals, like the old Maverick (Tom Cruise) and Iceman (Val Kilmer). Fans were festive at the episode in which these two called each other “Hangy” and “Lou” behind their backs. Incidentally, it is possible that the series of exchanges before they went to bed was a fabrication by Glenn and did not actually take place, but even if it was a joke, it is clear from the smiles on their faces in the photos that they were close behind the scenes.
In fact, Greg Tarzan Davis, who plays Coyote in “Top Gun Maverick,” told HollywoodLife that the young cast members who play the pilots in the film have maintained a strong bond even after filming and regularly update each other on what is going on.
