It seems likely that Princess Meghan was “denied” a final meeting with Queen Elizabeth.
Queen Elizabeth, who ruled the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries for nearly 70 years, breathed her last on Thursday, September 8. In her final days at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, she was visited by several members of the royal family, but not among them was Princess Meghan, wife of Prince Henry, the queen’s grandson.

According to royal expert Katie Nicole, members of the royal family were instructed to gather with her as the queen’s condition deteriorated. However, it appears that Princess Meghan’s name was not mentioned.
‘The decision that Prince Henry should be there is, of course, an understandable one. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it to the end,” Katie Nicole cut in, “but Princess Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was not called. That is also understandable. I understand she said she would visit another time. Still, it was a good decision for Prince Henry to visit Balmoral Castle alone this time without his wife,” she added.
The couple was scheduled to visit London that evening to attend a charity event, but the event was canceled due to Queen Elizabeth’s health concerns. Therefore, it was assumed that Princess Meghan would accompany Prince Henry on his way to Balmoral Castle.
Prince Henry and Meghan married in 2018, and in 2020, they left the British royal family and moved to the U.S. In an interview they appeared on after their move, they revealed the British royal family’s system and comments made by members of the royal family who were concerned about the skin color of Archie, Meghan’s first son who was still in her belly at the time. This has led to a growing backlash against the couple in the United Kingdom.
