Prince William, Prince of Wales, has revealed the reason why he continues to send his children to school even after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince George and his family are still going about their “daily lives” after the death of Queen Elizabeth.

Prince William told a crowd gathered around Windsor Castle last Saturday that his eldest son, Prince George, eldest daughter, Princess Charlotte, and second son, Prince Louis, are continuing their “normal lives” after Queen Elizabeth’s death.

As some of you may know, this summer Prince William and his family moved from Kensington Palace in London to Adelaide Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth lived during her final years. Accordingly, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will attend a new school, and Prince Louis will enroll in a pre-prep school at the same school.

Although the first day of school was the same day as Queen Elizabeth’s death, the children attended classes until the end of the day, and all three attended school without missing a single day after the news of Queen Elizabeth’s death.

Some families would have their children stay home from school until after the funeral, but Prince William and his wife, Princess Catherine, want to minimize the impact of Queen Elizabeth’s death on their children by allowing them to lead a normal life as much as possible.

A teacher who said she spoke with Prince William in front of Windsor Castle said, “I told him about my work at the school, how we had just celebrated [the Queen’s] platinum jubilee, and the children. He told me that he was trying to keep things as normal as possible by maintaining continuity (i.e., continuing to attend school) with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis,” she told People in the US.

The woman, who also exchanged words with Princess Catherine, said, “They were both very kind, gentle, and genuine. It was very special and definitely a moment I will treasure.

Incidentally, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have not made a single public appearance since Queen Elizabeth passed away. It is not known whether they will attend the Queen’s funeral to be held at Westminster Abbey on September 19 (local time), but Prince George and Princess Charlotte are expected to attend the Queen’s funeral as well, since they attended the funeral of Prince Philip, who died in 2021, together with their parents.
