I want to die with honor.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Maya Hawke said that she hopes her character Robin will die a heroic death in the final season of “Stranger Things.

Well, it’s the last season, so somebody’s probably going to die,” Maya began, “I want to die and have a hero moment. I want to die with honor, like every actor does. But I also love the part about the Duffer brothers loving their actors. The reason they portray them so beautifully for me and others is because they are in love with the actors and their characters and don’t want to kill them. I think that’s a beautiful quality they have, and I wouldn’t want to give that up,” he said, revealing his ideal of how the character of Robin should end.

Millie Bobby Brown, who previously played Eleven, commented on the ever-growing cast of characters and the fact that none of the main characters die, saying, “The [creators] Duffer brothers are two sensitive people who don’t want to kill anyone. But we need to have a ‘Game of Thrones’ mindset,” she said, referring to the popular drama “Game of Thrones,” in which major characters die one after another.

In response to Millie’s comment, Matt Duffer said, “We went through every option in the writing room. If we kill Mike… That would be depressing. We’re not ‘Game of Thrones. This is Hawkins. This is not Westeros. If we did, this show wouldn’t be ‘Stranger Things’ anymore, because we’d have to be realistic, right? Because we have to be realistic about it.” I countered.

Maya, who hopes for Robin’s heroic death, is open to doing a spinoff with co-star Joe Keery (who plays Steve) if her character survives season 5.

I’m not usually a proponent of spin-offs, but if I could do one with Joe Keery, I’d do anything,” Maya said. He’s so funny, wonderful, smart, and has clear boundaries. He’s a great work colleague, and I would do anything with him,” she said of her love for Joe.
