Kanye West, 45, is in the predicament of losing many friends and his career due to his actions in recent weeks. Kanye wore a T-shirt that read “White Lives Matter” a few weeks ago and later posted anti-Semitic tweets. This led to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian distancing herself from him and Justin Bieber announcing that he was insulating himself. One after another, companies and agencies that had signed Kanye cut ties with him. And after his high value contract with “adidas” was terminated, the U.S. economic magazine “Forbes” reported that Kanye’s name would disappear from the “Billionaire List.

Companies that had partnered with him have started to terminate their contracts one after another.

Kanye West has caused controversy many times in the past with his extreme actions and statements, but this time his actions have led to the termination of contracts with the companies he collaborated with.

The issue began when he wore a T-shirt printed with “White Lives Matter” at Paris Fashion Week (Paris Collection) earlier this month.

Kanye went on a social networking rant against models Gigi Hadid and Haley Bieber, who criticized the action, and then hurled insults at Haley and her husband Justin Bieber. Justin then declared that he and Kanye were on a break.

Then, on the 9th of this month, Kanye made an anti-Semitic post on his Twitter page, saying that he would invoke Death Con 3 on Jews when he woke up. Death Con” is a play on “DEFCON,” which refers to the U.S. defense readiness level. The post was deleted by management after a firestorm, and Kanye’s Twitter and Instagram accounts were frozen.

A week later, Kanye posted a tweet apologizing, saying, “I want to give a big hug to all the people I hurt. I apologize to those who were hurt by my comments.”

However, as a result of his comments, Kanye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian and his friend, former President Donald Trump, decided to distance themselves from him, and a number of companies that had partnered with him began terminating their contracts.

On the 24th of this month, CAA, a major talent agency in Hollywood, announced the end of its contract with Kanye. The New York Times reported that record company Def Jam Recordings had severed ties with Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label. It also reported that streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music were pressured not to play Kanye’s music.

Kanye has also collaborated with “Balenciaga” and made his runway debut at the Paris Collection show on the 2nd of this month. However, after this statement, the brand’s parent company “Kering” announced that “Balenciaga no longer has any relationship with this artist or plans for future projects” and insulated itself from Kanye. The brand has removed any association with Kanye, including his collaboration with “Yeezy Gap,” from its official website.

In September, Kanye made his displeasure with “Gap” public and announced that he had terminated his collaboration contract with the company. However, the company refuted that it had taken steps to terminate its contract with Kanye, and on the 25th of this month, it shut down the “Yeezy Gap” website.

On the 25th of this month, Jaylen Brown of the NBA’s Boston Celtics and NFL superstar Aaron Donald, both represented by “Donda Sports,” which Kanye presides over, severed ties with Kanye.

Furthermore, “adidas” announced that it would terminate its contract with Kanye, stating that it “does not tolerate hate speech of any kind, including anti-Semitism.

On the 25th of this month, the U.S. business magazine “Forbes” reported that Kanye’s name will disappear from the magazine’s “World Billionaire List” due to the end of his expensive contract with “adidas.

Kanye West, who has been active in the music and fashion industry, seems to be on the verge of losing not only his friends but also the career he has spent decades building as a result of this action.
