The cause of her death was revealed four months later.

According to TMZ, the New York City coroner revealed that Charlbi died of a bacterial infection in August.

TMZ noted that the bacteria is described as “Capnocytophaga” and often affects people who have close contact with dogs or cats or who have been bitten. Chalbi’s reaction to the bacteria was reportedly complicated by a 2009 car accident with his then-girlfriend, Ashton Schneege, in which his spleen was removed. Chaarbi also suffered a collapsed lung, two vertebrae, a broken wrist, four ribs, and an elbow in the accident.

At the time of Charbi’s death, she was engaged to Luke Volker.

Charlbi had posted a happy post on Instagram at the time, saying, “This is where we had our first kiss and where I said yes to my boy.”

Since her passing, Luke Volker has posted several touching tributes to Charlbi, commenting in September, “I was the luckiest man in the world to spend my days with her. I hope there is a heaven there.”

Her last film, “Triangle of Sadness,” with Woody Harrelson, was posthumously praised.
