A successful field goal in the final three seconds completed the comeback at the end of the game.

While the Chargers defense performed well, intercepting a pass from Jaguars quarterback (QB) Trevor Lawrence on the opening drive and holding the opponent scoreless, the offense rode the wave and quickly built a 27-point lead. Searching for a way to fight back, the Jaguars scored a touchdown at the end of the first half, but still trailed by 20 points.

However, in the second half, the tide seemed to turn in favor of the Jaguars, and they scored touchdown after touchdown as soon as they had the right to attack. The Chargers scored on a field goal but could not get deep into enemy territory, and when they had a field goal opportunity in the fourth quarter, it was unsuccessful, and the lead gradually shrank.

Trailing 30-28 with just over three minutes left in the game, the Jaguars moved the ball into field goal range and managed the time to make a successful field goal in the last three seconds to complete the comeback in the closing minutes.

The Jaguars’ next opponent in the Divisional Round will be determined by the result of the Super Wild Card game on Sunday, January 15.
