First Game of Super Wild Card Weekend Features Seahawks and 49ers in NFC West Rivalry

The playoffs for the 2022 season began in San Francisco on Saturday, January 14.

The 49ers will advance to the divisional round, 41-23.

The San Francisco 49ers, winners of the National Football Conference (NFC) West Division, hosted their district rival, the Seattle Seahawks, at their home field, Levi’s Stadium.

After the 49ers scored first with a field goal and added a touchdown, the Seahawks came back in the second quarter to take a 17-16 lead in a closely contested first half. However, in the second half, the 49ers’ attack found their rhythm and outscored the Seahawks with a performance that led to points on every offensive drive.

The Seahawks managed to add a few more points in the final minutes, but in the end, the 49ers, who entered the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the NFC, advanced to the divisional round with a 41-23 win.
