Will Prince Harry and his wife attend King Charles’ coronation? Or not?

It has been revealed that the King and Prince William are split on whether or not to invite Prince Harry and Princess Meghan to the coronation of King Charles on May 6 (local time).

As you probably know, Prince Harry and Princess Meghan, who left the royal family at the end of March 2020, have been nearly disconnected from their families due to their exposure and criticism of the royal family’s inner workings through interviews and the Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan”. In particular, Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare,” published in January, is said to have “irreparably damaged” the relationship between him and his family.

According to the Daily Mail, the King has asked the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, the supreme leader of the Church of England, to intercede so that the prince can attend his coronation.

There has been much speculation over whether or not Prince Harry and Princess Meghan will attend the coronation, with some suggesting that they are likely to decline the invitation even if invited, but King Charles believes that it would cause more disruption if Prince and Princess Harry did not attend the coronation than if they did. King Charles is said to be open to persuading them to attend the coronation.

Prince William, on the other hand, is said to be concerned that Prince Harry and his wife’s attendance at the coronation will overshadow the important event, and is reportedly showing “resistance. The “Spare” also contains many negative comments about Prince William, and the relationship between the brothers is at an all-time low, so it is not surprising that they are opposed to the idea.

Incidentally, a source told the Daily Mail, “The question is whether they will attend the coronation, and if so, under what conditions. The family is divided. Prince Harry has been advised not to agree to anything at this stage and to stick it out until the last moment, which is making negotiations with him very difficult,” testified the source.
