Fans, however, were not convinced.
Fans guessed that Beyonce should be in the same place as her husband Jay-Z, who was already seated at the venue. Then, they thought that she might be preparing for a surprise performance.
On Twitter, fans waiting for Beyoncé’s appearance said, “Jay Z is in the venue, isn’t he? Beyonce is getting ready backstage, right? Beyonce is not late. Beyonce is not late. She’s backstage preparing for her performance. Otherwise, I don’t understand why Jay-Z is already at the venue, and the “traffic jam” is just a stunt,” many people said.
According to ELLE magazine, Beyonce arrived at the venue safely at 6:19 p.m. (U.S. Pacific Time) and took her seat just before Harry Styles performed “As It Was” live on stage.
Although Beyonce arrived safely at the venue, there was no surprise performance after all.
Beyonce also won “Best Dance/Electronic Album” and a cumulative total of 32 Grammy Awards. She broke Georg Solti’s record of 31 Grammy Awards and broke the record for the most Grammy Awards in history.
