Two people grab onto a piece of a door that has drifted out and use it as a raft to drift away.

In the climactic scene of the worldwide hit movie “Titanic,” Jack (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose (played by Kate Winslet) are thrown overboard from the sinking luxury liner “Titanic.

The two then drifted ashore, holding onto a piece of the door that had drifted in, using it as a raft. The film ends in tragedy, with Jack running out of strength and sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

However, over the years, fans have questioned whether Jack could have ridden the door, and whether he would have survived the scene.

In this interview with the Canadian media outlet ET Canada, Kate Winslet commented on the debate.

When asked about the “Jack could have survived theory,” Kate honestly admitted, “Yeah, I think he [Jack] probably could have fit on the door.

I’m kind of living with the question of whether he could have gotten in the door, to be honest with you. I’m 40 years old now. I spend more than half my life wondering if Jack could have gotten in the door,” she said, revealing that she has been dealing with this debate for a long time.

Finally, Kate also jokingly suggested that she and Leo could test this theory again.

Meanwhile, James Cameron, the film’s director, asked for a scientific verification to prove whether the fans’ argument was correct or not, and to what extent the film was correct.

In the soon-to-be-released special program “Titanic: 25 Years Later with James Cameron,” Cameron prepared stuntmen to play Jack and Rose and “perfectly recreate” the scene using an indoor pool.

In the program, Cameron said, “It’s the final verdict. Jack could have lived,” but added, “But there are a lot of variables.

The director also revealed that “the door should have been smaller” to prevent these arguments from being created.
