What is Tom doing while on vacation?
Tom Holland, 27, a popular actor known for his Marvel Cinematic Universe “Spider-Man” series, has revealed that he has decided to take a break from acting.
Tom produced and starred in the Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room,” which apparently took a big “toll” on him.
Tom told Extra Tuesday, “It was definitely a tough time,” and “I was exploring certain emotions that I’d never experienced before. On top of that, as a producer, I was under a lot of pressure to deal with the day-to-day issues that come up on any movie set,” he said. However, he commented that the job “destroyed me. I’m taking a year off now, and that’s a result of how difficult this show has been,” he continued.
Tom produced and starred in “The Crowded Room. In this drama, Tom plays Danny Sullivan, a young man who accidentally gets into trouble when he is arrested for a crime he did not commit. Tom also shared in the past that he spoke with a psychiatrist in order to better understand his character. He said, “Learning about mental health and its power and talking to a psychiatrist about Danny’s struggles has been very beneficial in my own life.” Tom also said in an interview that he is “used to doing physical work like action movies,” and “but the mental aspect of it really knocked me down, and it took me a long time to recover afterwards to get back to reality,” he said.
As for how he spends his current vacations, Tom revealed that he does a little traveling, golfing, and seeing family and friends. He continued, “I go to the garden center, buy some plants, and do my best to keep them alive, and just relax and be a normal guy from Kingston.”
