The weekend the film will be released will coincide with the U.S. release of the fantasy epic “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Assassin is one of several low-budget action films Bruce produced in the late 2010s and early 2020s. The film is the directorial debut of Jesse Atlas, who co-wrote the script with Aaron Wolf and adapted their 2017 short film Let Them Die Like Lovers.

The film centers on a futuristic technology that allows for undercover missions using a microchip that can take over another person’s body. Bruce plays Valmora, the leader of an operation using this technology.
