Kylie has held the title of “most followed woman on Instagram.
Last week, however, popular singer and actress Selena Gomez tied with Kylie with about 380 million followers. Then, on February 22, Selena surpassed Kylie’s number of followers, and Kylie relinquished the title of “Queen of Instagram” to Selena.

According to the Daily Mail, Kylie has lost an estimated 1 million followers in the past week, bringing her follower count down from 380 million to 379 million. Selena, on the other hand, has hit a record of 389 million followers. In other words, Selena increased her follower count by approximately 10 million during the same period that Kylie lost 1 million followers.
Although the reason for Kylie’s dramatic decline in followers is not known, it cannot be denied that the “drama” with Selena may have had something to do with it. She posted a video on TikTok, making a joke about her “eyebrows,” saying that she had “laminated them too much. A few hours later, Kylie and model Hailey Bieber, wife of Justin Bieber, posted a close-up photo of each other’s “eyebrows” on their Instagram story. Since Hailey and Selena have been rumored to be feuding, fans suspected that Kylie and Hailey had colluded to “harass” Selena.

Kylie later said, “This is going too far. I never said anything bad about Selena, and I never saw Selena’s eyebrow post in the first place. You guys are flirting with me for no reason. This is ridiculous,” she said, denying all allegations of harassment. The row was settled for the time being as Selena also defended Kylie.
In any case, the number of followers on Instagram is a measure of a celebrity’s popularity and attention, so Kylie’s sharp drop in followers must have been a considerable blow to her.
