Model and actress Cara Delevingne has spoken out for the first time about the photos, six months after she was seen acting suspiciously at the Los Angeles airport.
Cara was sitting in the back seat of a car, with her feet dangling out of the window in traffic, about six months ago.

Cara then got out of the car and headed towards the jet with her dog Alfie, wearing a Britney Spears T-shirt, no shoes and yellow socks. When Cara returned to the car park, she looked anxious, dropping her phone repeatedly and shaking her head. The snaps and footage left fans bewildered and concerned.
In the April 2023 cover story of Vogue, Cara said that the paparazzi snaps were a “reality check” for her recovery journey.
Cara explained that she had just returned from the Burning Man festival in Nevada when she was paparazzi’d at the airport, noting that she had not slept and was not “okay”.
‘That was very heartbreaking. Because I thought I was having fun, but at some point I was like, ‘OK, I look sick,'” Cara continued. She then commented, “So in a way, I should have been grateful for that photo”. Cara also commented that being on drugs made her feel “invincible”.
After checking into rehab at the end of 2022, Cara is currently in a 12-step treatment programme, which is “making a huge difference” to her life.
Later in the interview, Cara also thanked her boyfriend, singer Minke, for his steadfastness while she struggled with addiction. ‘She’s the type of person who has boundaries, and there came a point where she couldn’t hold it any longer’ and ‘it was a blessing in disguise’, Cara continued, also acknowledging the ‘support’ of her friends.
