Actor Johnny Depp, best known for the Pirates of the Caribbean series, is reportedly living a quiet life far from Hollywood.

Page Six reports that Johnny is enjoying life in the English countryside.

Speaking to Somerset Life magazine, Johnny once told the magazine, “I like unique places. I have different houses in different places and they all have a special meaning to me.

He added: “I’m quite a shy person, actually,” and added: “That’s the great thing about England, and Somerset in particular, is that you can be yourself. I can be myself, and that’s what I like about it”.

And in the UK, Johnny said people greeted him as if he was their neighbour. It seems to be a place where Johnny, who has had the problems that only a celebrity can have, feels at home: ‘I don’t mind being asked for an autograph or a quick chat, but not when I’m spending private time with my family,’ and ‘I can walk into a shop without being surrounded by people asking for selfies.’

Earlier this month, Johnny flew by helicopter to Lincolnshire in northern England for a surprise visit to an antique shop. The owner of the shop told Fox Business that he bought ‘many quirky items and furniture for his own home in London’.

In recent years, Johnny has continued to attract attention due to his muddled court dispute with Amber Heard. He now shuns the spotlight and seems to be blissfully content with his quiet life.
