Actress Monica Barbaro, who plays Natasha Trace aka Phoenix in the movie “Top Gun Maverick,” revealed in an interview with The Wrap that she received a “rumored present” from Tom Cruise, who plays Pete Mitchell aka Maverick. In an interview with The Wrap, she revealed that she received a “rumored gift” from Tom Cruise, who plays Pete Mitchell aka Maverick.

The “rumored gift” was a white chocolate coconut band cake from Doan’s Bakery in Woodland, California. Every year during the holiday season, Tom orders a large quantity of cakes from Doan’s Bakery and gives them to his celebrity friends and loved ones, including Kirsten Dunst, who co-starred with Tom as a child in the movie “Interview with the Vampire,” and Henry Cavill, his co-star in the movie “Mission: Impossible: Fallout. Henry Cavill, who co-starred with Tom as a child in the movie “Interview with the Vampire” and in the movie “Mission: Impossible: Fallout” have also received a cake.

According to Monica, all of her co-stars, including Monica, received cakes from Tom when they were just reshooting “Top Gun Maverick,” and “Tom Cruise gives Christmas cakes to the people he worked with. We all received a cake from Tom, and probably (because of the exhaustion of filming) we all ate the whole thing at once by ourselves during the break. We were supposed to share it with our families, but no one did. When the interviewer said, “I’m glad you were able to eat the cake,” I replied, “It’s impossible not to eat the cake. Every year, we share the cake, or maybe we don’t share the cake…” He replied, “I can’t believe I didn’t eat that cake.

After the filming of “Top Gun Maverick” was over, Tom gave her a cake, but according to Monica, it would not “last forever. Monica said, “I’ve heard that it expires. He is always working with so many new people that I have heard that unless you continue to work with him, you will never get your cake. I don’t know when the day will come when I will know the answer to that question. (The thought of the day when I won’t be able to get cake) breaks my heart. It’s going to be a really sad Christmas the year I don’t get cake,” he said. We are very fortunate to have him as a resource. We can always send him an email, and he is very generous,” she said, praising Tom’s personality and his capacity as a mentor.

Tom also explained the reason for giving the cake to everyone: “I love sweets, but I’m always training for the shoot, so I can’t eat sweets myself (due to sugar restrictions). So instead, I send cakes to everyone. And then I wait for them to contact me. (I tell them to tell me how the cake was,” she said on the American talk show “The Late Late Show”.
