Jeremy Renner was seriously injured in a snowplough accident on New Year’s Day. Jeremy and his nephew recalled the harrowing moment in an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.

Speaking of Jeremy, he was taken by helicopter to a local hospital after being seriously injured in a snowplough accident at his Nevada home on New Year’s Day. The snowplough accident resulted in blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries. It was later revealed that Jeremy had broken bones in a whopping 30 places and that Jeremy was involved in the accident to protect his chap from injury. The film was described as “a real superhero” and “a real Avenger”.

 

Jeremy’s nephew, Alexander Fryes, recalled the situation at the time in an interview: ‘I saw him in a pool of blood from his head and I ran to him, I didn’t think he was alive.

 

Diane Sawyer also gave a list of injuries during an interview with Jeremy himself, “eight ribs broken in 14 places, right knee, right ankle broken, left leg tibia broken, left ankle broken, right collar bone broken, right shoulder broken, facial orbit, jaw, broken mandible, crushed lung…” and in the trailer Jeremy was also shown in tears.

 

An exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer, in which Jeremy talks about the accident, will be broadcast on 6 April local time.

 

Jeremy will also reportedly attend the world premiere of Renervations at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles on 11 April local time.
