BLACKPINK’s Jisoo (28), who has gained immense popularity with her first solo album ‘ME’ released on 31 March, becoming a million-seller on its initial release, has revealed how her collaboration stage with singer Camila Cabello (26) came to fruition at a concert she held last year.
Last autumn, BLACKPINK, which belongs to Jisoo, held a concert at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, US, as part of their ‘Born Pink World Tour’ world tour.
On that occasion, Jisoo performed her song ‘Liar’ with guest Camila. The audience was very excited.

In a recent video interview with WIRED magazine, Jisoo said, “Before I released my solo song, I covered Camila Cabello’s ‘Liar’ at one of our concerts. (At that time) I hadn’t started work on either of my solo songs, so I was desperately trying to figure out which song I wanted to cover”, she confessed. She confided that he had a hard time choosing a cover song.

‘So I was listening to the music – ‘Which song should it be?’ ‘ and I wasn’t like that, I was shuffling and listening to it randomly. Then ‘Liar’ came on. And immediately I started trying to put together and envision what I wanted to do on stage. That’s when I realised that this was the song I needed to do, and I started working on it straight away.”

When I heard ‘Liar’, I thought, ‘That’s the song! Jisoo says that when she heard “Liar”, she knew exactly what she wanted to do with it. Then luck came her way. When she was in Los Angeles, she received a phone call from Camila asking if she wanted to perform with her.
According to Jisoo, Camila was also enthusiastic about preparing for the collaboration stage, and suggested that they “do it together there”. She also said that she was “very grateful and it was a great experience”. And it was a wonderful experience”.
At the time, Camila posted a photo of herself and Jisoo on her Instagram, saying, “Jisoo, I had the best time singing ‘Liar’ with you!!! !!!BLACKPINK, thank you for having me ♡”. Jisoo, on the other hand, also posted on Instagram, “Camila, I had so much fun singing with you! Thank you for making my stage shine even brighter! P.S. Your outfit made from our tour merch was super cute!” She wrote to thank Camila, saying.
