<The Spotify executives have called her a “crook” for terminating her contract, and some believe it is due to the lack of popularity of Meghan’s show.
Princess Meghan, whose contract has been terminated by Spotify, was seen for the first time since the end of her contract was announced.

Meghan was wearing no makeup and casual clothes, but her expression was talked about as dark and somber, perhaps due to the shock of losing a huge financial source.
On June 15, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Spotify announced that they had agreed to dissolve their $20 million partnership. The next day, Meghan was photographed heading to a salon in Santa Barbara, California.
In the photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Meghan wore a casual black long-sleeved top with dark wash jeans in, followed by a blue and white striped sweater over the top. She paired it with a black Fendi bag, black ballet shoes, gold bracelets, and wore no makeup with her blow-dried hair slicked back over her shoulders.
According to the Daily Mail, Meghan appeared to be in a heated argument on the phone and then removed her earpiece and headed to the salon, looking at her cell phone. Her husband, Prince Harry, and children Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, were not seen.
■Spotify Executives Accuse the Couple of Being ‘Dodgy’
With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex terminating their contract with Spotify, it was announced that Meghan’s podcast show “Archetypes” will also end after its first season.
In response to the announcement, Bill Simmons, head of “The Ringer,” a sports-related podcast show and executive of Spotify’s podcast division, called the couple “fucking crooks” on his show and expressed his displeasure with the contract termination.
I wanted to be involved in the negotiation of ‘Meghan and Harry leaving Spotify,'” Simmons said. They’re fucking crooks. We should have had a show like that with them.”
Simmons also claimed that he and Harry discussed the idea of a podcast at Zoom, although he declined to go into detail. He said, “If I’m drunk, I’ll tell you about the time Harry and I talked on Zoom about the idea for the podcast. It’s one of my best stories.”
On the other hand, some have attributed the termination of Harry and Megan’s contract to Archetypes’ failure to do well enough to get a new season into production.
The important thing is the content, [but] clearly there wasn’t a big enough audience,” Mark Borkowski, a leading crisis communications expert, told the BBC. ‘No one is going to pay [newly] if you can’t produce results that are worth the contract money.’
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek admits that the company has overspent on content acquisition in recent years. The company is now examining how it chooses which content to invest in.
According to the BBC, Ek said in a conference call with financial analysts this year that “the point about overpaying and overinvesting is correct. ‘We will be very cautious about investing in future content deals. If the results don’t shake out, of course we won’t renew the deal”.
