The final trailer has finally been released for The Super Mario Brothers Movie. A round-up of official information, including release date and voice actors.
Which characters will appear?
The trailers released so far show Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Bowser and Kinopio, as well as familiar characters such as Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Pac’n Flower, Sawdust, Pukupuku, Bomb Hey, and Hey Ho.

The Super Mario Brothers Movie is a joint production between Nintendo and Illumination, known for its Minions films.
Produced by Illumination’s founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and Nintendo’s Representative Director and Fellow Shigeru Miyamoto, the film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, who worked together on Teen Titans Go! The film is a dream team, with Matthew Vogel (Minions Fever and The LEGO® Movie 2) as the screenwriter.

The trailer features a confrontation between Mario and Donkey Kong, as well as Princess Peach and the Kinopios of the Mushroom Kingdom who are attacking Bowser and his friends. The trailer also shows a scene where Luigi is captured by Bowser, foreshadowing the film’s storyline.
