Model Emily Ratajkowski has revealed her too-realistic ‘cockroach’ nails.
Emily recently appeared on the cover of HommeGirls magazine’s Spring/Summer 2023 edition alongside Kylie Jenner.
During the shoot for the magazine, she tried different fashions and nails, including unique nails with 3D cockroaches on them.
Emily herself liked these ‘cockroach’ nails and introduced them on her Instagram. The 3D cockroach sitting on the middle finger of a long white-painted nail has a sense of touch and legs, and looks so realistic that it seems to start moving at any moment.
Incidentally, the ‘cockroach’ nails were used in a shot wearing a vintage New York Mets T-shirt and Miu Miu bottoms. Emily holds up her middle finger with a cockroach on it, which she places on her tongue.
Speaking of cockroaches, they made headlines when they “attended” the Met Gala, one of the biggest events in the fashion world, held on 1 May (local time) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA. While top stars appeared on the red carpet in fashions that paid tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld, a cockroach paraded down the red carpet in its natural habitat, causing a furore. Unfortunately, the cockroach lost its life on the same day.

It is unclear whether Emily’s ‘cockroach’ nails are a tribute to the late cockroach, but will ‘cockroaches’ become a fashion trend this year?
