He still lives with his dog – the John Wick series is all about… dogs! The release date is set for Friday 22 September, along with a special Dog Day video.

John Wick has always had a loving dog by his side. They are an indispensable presence that sometimes helps him, encourages him and fights alongside him. In the first place, it was the death of his dog Daisy that triggered John, who had retired, to be dragged back into the spiral of battle and switched on the strongest man who could not be woken up. When the incompetent Russian mafia killed Daisy, a gift from his late wife, the voltage of his anger reached its peak and he took revenge. And now, ahead of Dog Day on 13 May, a special Dog Day commemorative video full of memories of John and his dog has arrived to stir the souls of all John Wick series fans and dog lovers!

‘It was the loss of his beloved dog that started his journey’

After overcoming the death of Daisy in John Wick, a chance, or perhaps inevitable, encounter with a second dog, a pit bull, awaited John. John whispers softly to the dog, “Let’s go home”, and the pit bull that walks beside him as if to accompany his wounded heart is impressive. John Wick: Chapter Two opens with a walk between the two.

‘Together we walk, together we lean.’

The pit bull is the epitome of politeness, and is described by Continental Hotel concierge Sharon (Lance Reddick) as ‘very polite’. His face is euphoric as he relaxes in John’s lap.

‘Together we fight’.

Next up are Sophia’s (Halle Berry) two shepherd dogs, who fought together in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The breathtaking dog-fighting is quintessential Dog Who.

‘With the dogs he still lives.’

In the latest film, John Wick: Chapter 4, Dog Who bravely jumps over passing cars in a gunfight in front of the Arc de Triomphe! Alongside this release, two new dog images have been released of John calming down a raging dog in the middle of a fight, and of the latest “woof” scene in which new character Tracker (Shamil Andersson) and his right-hand man walk through Berlin! The film will be released in Japan on Friday 22 September.
