Model Hailey Bieber, who married singer Justin Bieber in 2018, revealed to The Sunday Times that she would like to have children in the future but is very anxious about raising them in an environment where everything she does is always in the public eye.

Hailey, who celebrates her fifth wedding anniversary this year, said that she “cries about it all the time” about having children, and added: “I want children so badly, but it scares me. I’m just full of this and that about my husband and friends. On top of that, I can’t even imagine what they would say about my children”, she said, expressing concern that her children would be subjected to harsh criticism on social networking sites.

That does not mean she has given up on having children, she said: ‘[If we have children] we will have to raise them to the best of our ability. As long as the children feel loved and protected, they will be fine”.

Incidentally, as soon as women get married, people around them ask, “When are you going to have children?” In an interview with the Wall Street Jounal in February last year, Hailey said, “There is one thing that every married woman goes through. People take it for granted that you have to fall in love first, then get married, then have children. But (everyone talks about children all the time) what about what I want to achieve with my work?” She questions the tendency of the public to think that “marriage is followed by children”.
