It seems that negotiations between Emma Stone and Marvel for that MCU film did not go through.

Actress Emma Stone is best known for playing Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man series.

She was offered the role of Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, in the latest The Fantastic Four film by Marvel, but unfortunately, negotiations have fallen through.

This was revealed by film critic Jeff Snyder on his podcast show The Hot Mic Podcast recently. He revealed that since Sue Storm is a key character in the latest film of The Fantastic Four, Marvel wanted a ‘top actress’ to play her, and Emma Stone was the first choice.

According to Jeff Snyder, Emma knew her value and asked for a fee of $20 million, but Marvel had to keep the budget for the rest of the cast, so they could not agree to this request.

The film is reported to have offered Adam Driver the role of Mr Fantastic, Reed Richards. However, the fee was reportedly not as much as Emma had requested, indicating that Marvel is spreading the fees paid to actors appropriately.

Snyder said on the programme that Marvel had initially almost decided on Emma for the role of Sue Storm, but added that since the negotiations had not worked out, “we’ll just have to see where this goes, whether a star actress will be cast as Sue Storm, or whether a newcomer will be discovered”.
