Marvel Studios’ newest drama series, “Secret Invasion,” will be available exclusively on Disney+, Disney’s official video distribution service, from June 21 (Wed.) in Japan and the United States simultaneously.

Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the founder of the Avengers, is a Skrull who has the ability to “mimic” any person he encounters. The film is a “realistic” suspense thriller in which Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson), the founder of the Fury Force, attempts to stop the “Secret Invasion” of the Skrulls, who have the ability to “mimic” any person they encounter.

The film unveils visuals of familiar MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) characters Rhodes, Talos, Maria Hill, and Ross, as well as new characters Gaia, Gravik, and Sonya, all of whom are involved with Fury in the film. Among them, the Skrallian “Green” is seen, as if to say, “There’s an imposter…

Fury has led Iron Man and the others to join the Avengers, and has also served as Spider-Man’s spartan guardian.

He formed the Avengers to stop an extraterrestrial invasion. But when this mighty team disappears from the public eye, the “Secret Invasion” comes… This time, instead of relying on the “Avengers,” Fury takes on the challenge of stopping the invasion himself, and the familiar faces of the MCU he interacts with.

The second from the left in the upper row is James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine, played by Don Cheadle, a member of the “Avengers. After the battle of “Endgame,” he has become an important figure in the U.S. government and admonishes Fury for his selfish behavior, which makes for a slightly different relationship with him… Third from left in the top row is Talos, a Skrull on the side of Fury’s collaborators, played by Ben Mendelsohn.

Although they were enemies for a time in “Captain Marvel,” they cooperate with Fury to find a safe haven for the Skrulls after their home planet is destroyed. However, he was exiled by the militant Skrulls, who were antagonistic toward him for not fulfilling his role.

Above right is Maria Hill, Fury’s right-hand woman, played by Cobie Smulders. She is dissatisfied with Fury, whom she has lost touch with for a while, but supports his actions again.

Bottom left, played by Martin Freeman, is Everett Ross, a CIA agent who also appeared in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He suspects an “invasion” by Skrulls…?

And the new MCU characters that Fury confronts in his “lonely battle” where he does not know who is friend or foe.

The second from the left in the bottom row is Gaia, the Skrull daughter of Talos, played by Emilia Clarke. She was a little girl when she first appeared in “Captain Marvel,” but she has grown up. She rebels against her father Talos and Fury, who do not keep their promise to find a safe haven for the Skrulls, and joins the side of the militant Graviks.

The third from the left in the bottom row is Gravik, the leader of the radical Skrallites, played by Kingsley Ben-Adil. He was once one of the Skralls saved by Fury and others, but he is now at odds with Talos due to differences in beliefs. He unites the Skralls, who “mimic” the appearance of important people from various countries, and plans to “invade” them secretly and steadily.

On the right in the lower row is Sonya, a British MI6 agent played by Olivia Colman. She and Fury seem to have known each other before, but they do not cooperate with each other.

She is a cold-hearted and extreme woman who is willing to use severe torture for the sake of the investigation. She is in pursuit of the “Secret Invasion,” and in the big picture, she is supposed to be an ally, but is she?

Even the man who has commanded the “Avengers” is not a straightforward character, and who is friend and who is foe… The film is sure to take the viewer’s imagination to a whole new level.

How will Fury face this threat without the Avengers, the most powerful team in the world?

Fury, who also appears in “Marvel’s” (released on November 10), a new story of “Captain Marvel,” is an indispensable member of the MCU, and his “lonely battle” is sure to be a fascinating one.

Secret Invasion” will be released simultaneously in Japan and the U.S. on Wednesday, June 21.
