Shakira recently appeared on the cover story of People en Español. There, she spoke about her father, William Mebarak Chadid, 91.

Shakira explained that her father Chadid fell during his son Milan’s First Communion and was “seriously injured. ‘Everything happened at once,’ she said, ‘my house was falling apart. Chadid is now recovering, and Shakira praises his “resilience.
