The trailer and poster for “Ahsoka,” a new original “Star Wars” drama series, have been unveiled.
The first two episodes of “Ahsoka” will be available exclusively on Disney Plus on August 23.
The film was created in response to a strong request from George Lucas, who said, “I want Anakin to have a Padawan (a Jedi Master who serves as his apprentice and trains him to become a Jedi)! Ahsoka Tano made her first appearance in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She was once Anakin Skywalker’s only Padawan, but when she lost faith in the Jedi Order, the organization that was supposed to be the guardian of justice, she abandoned her Jedi ways and parted ways with Anakin. He then fell to the dark side and reunited with Anakin, who became Darth Vader, and they fought to the death in an epic battle.
Then came Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson), who was first seen in live-action in the drama series “The Mandalorian” Season 2. Showing overwhelming strength with his eponymous two-bladed lightsaber, he meets the legendary Jedi Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in “Boba Fett The Book of Boba Fett”. The film depicts Ahsoka gently watching over Luke as he mentors Glogoo, a child with the power of the Force, as if he were inheriting the Force training he received from Yoda in “The Empire Strikes Back”.
Like the “Mandalorian” series, the film takes place in a galaxy after the collapse of the Empire. The trailer opens with a red “Lucasfilm” logo that evokes a new darkness looming over the galaxy. The image of the new villain, Beiran Squall (Ray Stevenson), who uses the overwhelming Force and an orange lightsaber to defeat the soldiers of the New Republic, is reminiscent of Darth Vader, who once showed his invincible strength at the climax of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen), the new heir to the Empire after the death of Darth Vader, is also seen in this film, his first live-action appearance.

The video also features a live shot of Ahsoka muttering, “I left Anakin in the middle of the road.” The former Jedi Beiran tells Ahsoka that “Anakin praised me,” and they fight with lightsabers, but that ominous “breathing” sound can be heard in the background. The sound of breathing is heard in the background, suggesting the possibility that the film will depict a new incident that once occurred between Anakin and Ahsoka’s mentor and apprentice. Ahsoka is also reunited with her former comrades from “Star Wars: Rebels,” Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), the general who leads the New Republic, and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), a Mandalorian warrior. Guided by Ahsoka’s words, “If we don’t stop Sloane, it will all be for nothing,” the three of them confront the dark threat. Toward the end of the film, the image of Ahsoka confronting a spinning red lightsaber is also cut out.
The poster features a lively shot of Ahsoka holding a white lightsaber. Dave Filoni, trusted by Lucas and executive producer of all three new theatrical films recently announced at “Star Wars Celebration Europe,” will direct, write, and produce the film.
