Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx (55) opened up for the first time since being hospitalized in April for unexplained “complications” and said he “went through hell.

Jamie updated his Instagram page on the evening of July 21, local time.

He revealed his “hellish” experience on Instagram, choking back tears. I know a lot of people are waiting for updates and want to hear about it, but honestly, I didn’t want them to see me like that,” he said. I didn’t want them to see me with tubes flowing out of my body and wondering if I’m going to live.

Jamie did not reveal his illness, but said he is finally on the road to recovery.

 

He commented, “To them, to God, to the many great medical professionals, I can leave this video.” They didn’t let anything slip, they protected me. I wish that everyone could be like that at a moment like this. But I’m back and able to work,” he continued.

 

Although there had been reports that he might have lost his sight, Jamie also revealed that his eyes were working fine, and he also admitted that he was not paralyzed. He concluded the video by saying, “I want to say I love you all.

 

People close to Jamie have been tight-lipped about the exact cause of his hospitalization, but it was reported in April that he became ill while working on his next film, “Back in Action.
