Ashley Graham Reveals the Staff’s Terrible Treatment of Her

 

Ashley Graham, known as the pioneer of plus-size models, is currently expanding her activities by working as a red carpet reporter and TV show host in addition to being a model.

Although plus-size models are not uncommon nowadays, when Ashley started modeling, it was common to be a slender model with a size zero figure. Because of this, she has been harassed by staff, which she revealed in the Sunday Times.

 

In the past, she was told to go to shoots naked if her clothes didn’t fit, and she said, “I work for the next generation. So they don’t have to go through the awful conversations I had with stylists, like, ‘We can’t cut the clothes, so we have to shoot naked,'” she recalled.

She also noted that even now, processing often changes her body shape, “I’ve had people tell me, ‘You need to lose weight. Some people have erased my stretch marks on the screen in front of me, pinched my waist, or lifted my breasts. It never feels good, but it doesn’t surprise me,” she confesses, “It’s commonplace in the industry.

 

Wanting to help people feel confident about their bodies, Ashley says she doesn’t edit her magazine or social media posts to show them as they are, “It’s important to see different body shapes and sizes, unaltered. I am not going to lose my flabby belly skin. I intend to post it. I would love it if women who see my page say, ‘I have cellulite. I want to exude confidence.
