BLACKPINK celebrated the 7th anniversary of their debut on August 8 and paid tribute to their fans. Members Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa each took to their Instagram to express their thoughts to BLINK (fan name) for making their dreams come true.

To celebrate BLACKPINK, anniversary events will be held in the United States and Asia, including Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

To celebrate BLACKPINK’s career milestone, their agency YG Entertainment will hold commemorative events in the United States and Asia, including Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

 

According to Korean media outlet Yonhap News, cities will be dyed pink, and 76 screens will be installed at the Secaucus Junction Station in New Jersey and decorated in BLACKPINK style. In New York, a pop-up event by popular Japanese designer VERDY will be held from August 9 to August 11 (local time), and a photo booth will be available. They will also team up with Starbucks to launch a special product line in Asia.

 

BLACKPINK released “Ice Cream” in 2020, which reached No. 13 on the U.S. singles chart, becoming the highest charting female artist from South Korea. Furthermore, on the album chart, her second full-length album “Born Pink,” released in 2022, reached No. 1, becoming the first Korean female artist in history to sell more than 2 million copies.
