According to Fabrizio Romano, a journalist well versed in the transfer market, the contract is for two years until 2025 and does not include an option to extend.

The company is expected to receive a total of $400 million, depending on various add-ons and commercial contracts.

In addition, according to France’s L’Equipe, PSG would receive a total transfer fee of around 100 million euros (about 15.87 billion yen) from Al Hilal, including various add-ons. Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 for a record transfer fee of 222 million euros (about ¥35.2 billion). He has contributed to the winning of 13 trophies, including five Ligue 1 championships, during his six years at PSG.

However, his situation became more difficult with each passing year, and in the 2022-23 season, his performance did not improve much, and at the end of the season, he injured his ankle. He underwent surgery and was out of action.

His behavior on and off the pitch has also been a problem, and relations with Neymar have deteriorated, with some PSG fans demanding that he leave the club. Luis Enrique, who took over as PSG coach this season, has ruled Neymar out of the squad after the player reportedly informed him of his desire to go to Saudi Arabia, and he was not called up for last weekend’s Ligue 1 opener against Lorient.

Al Hilal, who succeeded in acquiring Neymar, had already acquired FW Malcom, midfielder Ruben Neves, defender Kalidou Koulibaly, and midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic during this summer’s transfer window.
