Bad Bunny and Adidas Collaborate to Release Sneakers in Colors Associated with “Green Monster

Popular rapper, Bad Bunny, and Adidas have teamed up to release original sneakers.

Last year, when Puerto Rican-born Bad Bunny visited Boston on his “World’s Hottest Tour,” Mayor Michelle Wee declared August 18 to be “Bad Bunny Day.

To celebrate the first anniversary, Bad Bunny and Adidas will release a new Response CL sneaker.

Since the mayor declared “Bad Bunny Day” at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, the shoes will have different shades of green on the suede and mesh upper, in reference to the outfield wall of the stadium known as the “Green Monster. In addition, the sandy brown in the midsole and other areas of the shoe reveal a baseball diamond, as well as Bad Bunny’s signature unique eye logo.

The Bad Bunny X adidas Originals Response CL “Boston Di” will be available exclusively at Concepts’ Boston store on August 18 for $160 ($23,000). Bad Bunny has previously collaborated with Adidas on the Forum Buckle Low and Campus shoes.

The Adidas website states, “The Adidas Originals X Bad Bunny collaboration is an extension of Bad Bunny’s creative vision from Puerto Rico to the world. It combines the traditions of adidas with the energy of Bad Bunny, giving a new perspective to the icons of the Three Stripes archive”.
