Johnny Depp and Jenna Ortega, who got her breakthrough role as Wednesday in the Netflix drama “Wednesday,” are reportedly romantically involved. It all started when a user on Deux Moi, an Instagram account dedicated to celebrity gossip called “Real Gossip Girl,” reported that she had seen the two together.
Deux Moi also reported that Johnny is also starring in the sequel to “Beetlejuice,” the movie in which Jenna appears. Johnny has worked with Tim Burton, the director of the “Beetlejuice” sequel, on eight previous films and has a close relationship with him both publicly and privately.
It should be noted that Deux Moi transmits news mainly based on tip-offs from users, and many of them lack credibility, partly because the management has stated that they do not claim that the information posted on the account is based on facts. However, some of the scoops are oversized and have accurately reported the love affairs of couples such as Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny, and Kaia Gerber and Jacob Elordi.
In response to the reports, Johnny’s representative issued a statement through the British NME and other media outlets, saying, “Mr. Depp has absolutely no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega. He has never met or spoken to her. He is not and will not be involved in any projects with her. He is horrified by the baseless and malicious rumors intended to damage his reputation and career,” he strongly denied.
Jenna, on the other hand, is also not amused, saying, “It’s ridiculous and I don’t even want to laugh,” and “I have never met Johnny Depp or worked with him. Stop spreading lies. Leave us alone,” she reportedly posted on Instagram Stories denying the comments.
