The underwear Prince Harry wore when he played “strip billiards” is being auctioned off.

To remind him of those fun times.

In August 2012, a photo was leaked showing Prince Harry enjoying “strip billiards,” a game similar to the Japanese game of yakyuken, in a suite at a luxury hotel in Las Vegas. The sight of him naked and embracing a topless woman attracted a great deal of attention, and the photo was spread around the world.

Ten years later, a woman named Carrie Royall, a former stripper who was present at the time, offered for sale the underwear she claimed Prince Harry was wearing. The woman is offering not only the underwear, but also the dress and swimsuit she wore that night.

Carrie Royall expects the underwear to fetch the equivalent of $1 million (about 130 million yen).

By selling the underwear, Carrie seems to be trying to evoke his memory of that time.

This auction is to remind Harry (Prince Harry) of those good times,” she said with a touch of sarcasm, “not his current life controlled by his wife Meghan.

The auction will begin at 10:30 p.m. local time on Thursday, August 11, both locally and online. The starting bid is $10,000 (approximately 1,352,600 yen), and the winning bidder with a bid of $800,000 or more will receive a 3-liter bottle of Dom Perignon Rosé Vintage 3, a luxury champagne from 1996. This champagne is also said to be worth $200,000.

Even more astonishingly, a portion of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to Archwell, a charity organization run by Prince Harry and Princess Meghan.
