One of the spinoffs will reportedly be a female version of “Pirates of the Caribbean” starring Margot Robbie, and after the report, Margot said in an interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, “The movie will be full of girl power! I can’t talk about that because it’s too early to tell. I love (screenwriter) Christina. I’m not producing on ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ but I’m going to sit back and wait for the process. We’re really, really excited about adding a very important female element to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” universe! He commented.

 

She shared that the production of a female version of “Pirates of the Caribbean” is now a blank slate.

 

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Margot said, “We had an idea, and we had been talking for a long time about doing a story that was more female-driven, not completely female-driven, just a different kind of story. We thought that would be really cool, but they [Disney] didn’t want to do it,” and revealed that the story was lost due to a decision on Disney’s part.
