The unexpected manner in which Chrissy’s life was taken just when it seemed as if they were going to get together was a scene that showed the writing team’s ability to draw the viewer into the story. In an interview with Netflix, Joseph, who played Eddie, shared his thoughts.

Eddie was thought to be a character that would appear in Season 5, but he lost his life fighting a demobat in the final episode of Season 4. Joseph feels that Chrissy was a factor in his actions at that time, “I think he’s completely caught up in the helplessness and the lack of power in that moment to do anything to save Chrissy,” he analyzed, “He got a little tired of being sad and being unable to do anything. I think. Then somewhere in Episode 8 a switch flipped and he decided to prove himself. And he had that opportunity, but he lost his life,” he shared his thoughts with THR in the US.
