Jamie received high praise for his portrayal of the villainous Vecna in “Stranger Things. His first film role was as Anthony Hope in Tim Burton’s “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” in 2007. He then entered the world of fantasy, playing the young Gellert Grindelbard in the “Twilight” series and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.

Speaking of James Bond, Daniel Craig will complete his decade-and-a-half tenure in 2021’s “007: No Time to Die,” and much remains undecided about his next film after that. However, fans have often wondered who will play James Bond.

In the midst of all this, Jamie appeared on “Happy Sad Confused” and spoke candidly about many aspects of his career, including his relief that “Stranger Things” Season 4 is finally on the air and he can talk about it. Then he asked, “With all the villainous roles you excel at, why haven’t you played an evil Imperial officer in “Star Wars” yet? I love Donal Gleeson, by the way, but I think Donal took your job,” Jamie replied, “I love Donal, too. But to be honest, I’m going for James Bond. I don’t want to play Bond, I want to be a Bond villain. Before Rami [Malek] came on board, I thought, ‘I’m going to be the first person under 30 to play him. Then Rami came along and I thought, ‘Damn, I wanted to do that! I wanted to do it!

Jamie, who charmed the world as a villain in “Stranger Things,” may one day be in a James Bond movie…?
