The Joker sequel is filming in New York.
Lady Gaga is a popular singer and actress.
She was spotted in New York City on Saturday 25 March local time filming a movie as Harley Quinn, the popular DC Comics character.
Gaga was seen filming on the steps of the New York County Supreme Court in downtown Manhattan. Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn surrounded by police officers amidst a crowd of people holding signs reading ‘Free Joker’. She wore a bright red blazer with Quinn’s trademark familiar black and white diamond-studded top underneath.

The Joker was a huge success, becoming the first R-rated film to gross $1 billion at the box office. Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in the lead role was highly acclaimed and he won the Best Actor Award at the 92nd Academy Awards.
The sequel to Joker continues to be directed by Todd Phillips, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver. The sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, is said to be quite a change in style from the previous film and will be a musical.
The origin story of Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga, was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum in Gotham City named Dr Harleen Quinzel. In the comics, she develops a relationship with one of her patients, the Joker, and eventually becomes his accomplice and lover.
Lady Gaga is not the first to portray the popular Harley Quinn on screen, as she did in the original novels, and in the past Margot Robbie has played the role successfully in Suicide Squad and Harley Quinn’s Brilliant Awakening BIRDS OF PREY.
Joker: Folie à Deux is scheduled for release in the US in October 2024.
