PSG management wants to renew him for a few more years.

Messi’s contract with PSG expires at the end of this season, and there have been a number of reports pointing to a return to his old club Barcelona. The Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net reported that Messi’s contract with PSG expires in 2023, but PSG’s management wants to renew him for a few more years. Quoting a report in the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, “Luis Campos, Paris’ sports advisor, has already confirmed his desire to keep Messi until his retirement. Now he wants to make it happen,” he noted.

PSG, with the intention of the Qatari government, which is the real owner of the club, said, “The level Messi shows at the World Cup in Qatar could influence the renewal offer. If it is a good World Cup for Messi, PSG will make it a ‘until death’ deal. If Messi becomes a hero at the World Cup in Qatar, PSG will offer him an unbeatable contract that will guarantee him a life, not just retirement, as a “hero” for helping his country host the tournament. What will Messi’s decision be?
