Rapper Kanye West and reality star Kim Kardashian’s divorce is on the verge of finalizing, but Kanye has no intention of stopping loving Kim.
Strange as it may seem, I’m sure I’ll stick up for her.
During an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, Kanye said, “I may be divorced on paper, but I’m not divorced out of the idea of being a protector.”
He added, “Her name is no longer West. And my name is only Ye. If we were to get back together, what would our name be? Kim Ye? He also commented. He went on to say that he would “love [Kim] for the rest of my life” and that “it’s weird, but I would protect her.”
In the interview, Kanye also discussed a number of recent derogatory comments he has made in relation to Daya. He was asked by moderator Piers, “Do you regret what you said?” He answered, “No, absolutely not. Piers then launched into an argument, saying, “You should regret it.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021. They are the parents of four children, North (9), Saint (6), Chicago (4), and Psalm (3). They have not reached an agreement on custody of their children, which could be an uphill battle for Kim in divorce court.
Kim is said to have “80 percent” custody of the children now, and is reportedly refusing any contact from Kanye following his social media rants. Sources say that Kim is refusing to talk to Kanye about the children’s schedule without an assistant.
